Ame
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

Bloody Mary… Bloody Mary… Bloody Mary...
When darkness deepens and the past comes knocking— will you run or will you face it?
When 19-year-old Amelia Santos returns to Cebu after her parents’ tragic death in the States, she dreams of an idyllic life free of the burdens of the past and starting over as a clean slate. However, strange things begin to occur, and mysterious disappearances continue around her. What she previously thought to be a clean slate was already marred with grooves so deep that blood begins to seep and slowly stains her hands.
As the shadows lengthen, light your candles, and look into the mirror, you might yet see a whole new version of yourself.

Ame is a story-based horror game set in the Philippines in the early 2000s. It explores rural beliefs and religious images and the blurred lines between myths and truths. This game hopes to give players a lens into rural living in Cebu, filled with the nostalgia and creepiness that comes with it.

INSTRUCTIONS
To play, just press START in the menu to proceed with my story. Pay attention to the dialogues, as they will hint on what you should do next. Press the LEFT and RIGHT arrow keys to move left and right, and hold SHIFT to move faster.
The objective is simple: explore and find clues as to what is going on with the town. You can explore more the left side of the road once your aunt says you're free to go. Interact with objects or other people, and you may earn some valuable information.
And remember, you win by staying alive and solving the mansion's mystery.
The game has more than one ending. There's no save point, so you can proceed with your next playthrough by reopening the game.
Goodluck, my friend :).
ABOUT THE PROJECT
This project is our team’s entry for the Sugbuanon Saga: Game Jam 2025.
The project was planned to have a wider storytelling to deliver, but due to difficult time management and the unavoidable disruptions caused by natural disasters in the past month, we could not meet the expected timeline. There might be some minor bugs as you play throughout the game.
The game is set in a 2.5D environment as it has some 3D models. There was no optimization being done due to time constraints. You might encounter some frame drops due to poor shadow handling.

Oooooh I love the art style you went for this game! I'll play this on my twitch stream this week! :D
Hi Murushii, it's an amazing honor for our game to get recognized!
I'm Asteria, the creative lead for our game jam project. Speaking on behalf of my team, thank you so much for checking out Ame :DD.
Until Then was one of our heavy inspirations for the art style, and I'm glad you love it! I watched your stream yesterday and realized that you haven't actually checked out the village to the left side of the road TvT. There's been some hiccups with our game design due to time constraints so it was understandable, but I believe it was still a breathtaking experience for everyone who played it.
The stream was still a good watch overall! I love the reactions you and your viewers made. We're still planning to finish the game, so "until then", I hope you'll come back to check it out once it's finished.
Thank you once again!
